Websites I Can’t Go Without
If you are new to the site, sign up for the RSS Feed. All new sign ups get punch and pieRSS feed. Thanks for visiting!
Every one has the core websites that they must check every day. After or during a “hard” day a work, these sites help me unwind and get my daily dose of technology, humor and more. If I didn’t have these websites to get me through the day, well lets just say it wouldn’t be pretty…
DIGG.com
Digg is the only place to go to find the best of what’s new on the web. Instead of going through 80k bookmarks, or waiting for that one friend to send you new links, Digg can give you what you need all day long. The simple Digg or Bury concept works out great ( ok not great but well), filters out the crap and only leaves you the best of the best. If you don’t use digg now you should
If you are a gadget freak then you should have these two sister sites as your home pages, or at least bookmarked. Every new gadget that can think of crosses the desk of the people over at engadget and gizmodo. If it is the next generation video game consol or eco friendly lcds they have it on their sites. The best part of these two sites, is the content is not written in consumer report style but in a young quick and clean approach. Trust me you can waste hours on these two.
Do you use IM at work? Do you send every cool link to all your friends? Then pownce is everything you do in one. Pownce was created by the same guys who gave you Digg. It is a social website that lets you send out links, files, video, and mp3’s to all your friends. You can have just your close friends or add every one under the sun, it is really up to you. The site is currently invite only, so if you need an invite, comment here and I’ll send you one. You can add me too: My Pownce
This is one of the best forums on the net. If you are forum junky, this long running forum is full of great topics and some heated discussions. The creator Mike Baker has been in the web design business for years and has worked with some the biggest names in media. The site has some adult content so, if your under 18 this is not the place for you (It is not a porn site). The sections include, politics, tech, video games, and general chat. If you like forums you’ll like this, simple!
I like video games, I like comics, so naturally I love Penny Arcade. With one of the funniest web comics on the internet it is no wonder they have a massive following. Each year they have the PAX expo, which pulls in thousands of loyal readers, for a weekend of video games and nerd core music. Penny arcade is a comic with unseen range, they can make a fart joke seem witty and make a political joke on the level of farting. If you need a laugh you can’t miss this one
