That site is not blocked

If you are new to the site, sign up for the RSS Feed. All new sign ups get punch and pieRSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

Work or school it really doesn’t matter, you are being watched for what you browse on the internet.  For example my site is starting to be blocked for hacking, because that word comes up enough times on my tags.  A way to get around this is to not go to the name but the address.

The address? Yes the IP address.  It works like this, say you are cheating on your husband with me Jeff Dempsey.  You want to send me a letter but you dont want to write TO: Jeff Dempsey.  So instead you send a letter with simply the address.  The post office can find that address just fine with or with out my name.  The web works in the same way.  Instead of typing in Iambetterthanu.com, type in my IP.  Your browser will know how to get their just the same.  Domain names are really just there to make using the web easier for people.

So here are the steps

  • Open up a command prompt.  ( If you do not have access to a command prompt read this post on how to load it using word.  Command Prompt Hack)
Click Start –> Run –> Type Cmd – Click Enter
  • Now in the command prompt type “ping websitename”
You should get a number that is associated with the website name
  • Type in your browser http:// and the IP you just found plus .com

The blocked site is no longer blocked.  This wont work on all systems but on a lot of them it will so give it a shot.
